My favorite movie of the last few years (haven't seen ZDT yet.) And how refreshing to see a major movie with natural cinematography and excellent BD - I'm so tired of overblown BDs.
Since the rules say you have to have a happy ending, I thought they managed it well, sort of eased into it rather than springing it on the viewer.
Great use of pop music (the Zep was brilliant I thought), and the soundtrack in general was excellent (well represented on the BD.)
I almost cried when I learned in a feature that Sydney Pollack had something to do with its origins. Like a last gift to movie lovers, from one of the greats.
Eve: I thought I was through getting involved with men who were trouble. Falling in love on a look. I can't look at you.
Mickey: You have perfection about you. Your eyes have music. Your heart's the best part of your body. And when you move, every man, woman and child is forced to watch.
