Yes, Region B locked. No word on extended cut, no word on extras. Pretty far out, but this is one of my favorite films, so it gets a thread. And, check out the fine cover art by Dan Mumford:

This is an exclusive at Zavvi, limited to 3000 copies, but I imagine that details on a standard edition from Studio Canal will be forthcoming.

Wow, I was within hours of finally pulling the trigger on buying the old out of print wooden box Anchor Bay dvd release when I caught this. Hopefully it will include the extended cut.

I have the feeling that if they do include the extended, it'll be in standard definition. My guess is that this HD transfer has been around for a while, and it is the one that Amazon has for their Video On Demand.

I saw the extended cut in the theater. It always looked awful, but it's certainly the version to watch. Blu-ray would just be sharp awful.

The pre-order button is now active on the Zavvi site, FYI. I don't have any experience with Zavvi, but Studio Canal confirms that The Wicker Man is due for a blu ray release this year, so my pre-order is in.
