Many here regard Art of Flight as one of the best BluRays to demo both your Picture Quality and sound quality. Not only is it a reference standard, it's also interesting.

2 nights ago I picked up a copy of Where the Trail Ends. It's Produced by Redbull Mediahouse, Filmed by FreeRide Entertainment (Of NWD fame), with technical assistance from BrainFarm, the creators of Art of Flight.

This movie is filmed in a very similar style as Art of Flight, however it doesn't have the budget. There are less Helicopter slo-mo shots of other helicopters, but where it lacks in budget, it makes of for in sheer death defying stunts on incredibly scary looking terrain. The footage itself is on par with Art of flight, and possibly better. You're trading White snow and blue sky for very rough detailed cliff faces. If your brightness and contrast are out on your display, this movie WILL show it.

The BluRay is 2d, 1080p/24, with Dolby HD 5.1. The opening segments don't have the hard hitting bass track like Art of Flight, but it does have a few segments in the middle and end. Like AoF, the sound was mixed by Dolby team at the Skywalker Ranch.

Art of Flight was certainly an amazing demo disc for picture quality, it's ranked near the top of the Blu-ray Picture Quality Tiers. This one looks just as good, going off the trailers.

I might be slightly biased as I have met a few of these guys, and ride downhill mtnbike myself, however, I feel there are more cringe worthy moments and generally just better action in this movie.

Also, BearClaw does a better job of narration. It just seems more natural.

I am sold and will order it at some point soon. smile.gif Just going off the PQ/AQ greatness of AoF and knowing that the same sound team mixed this film has me excited.
