Thanks to Xylon's threads, I discovered many things about the real differences between DVD, BD, HD-DVD and HDTV versions of the same movie...

As his website is offline, I think it's handy to have all his comparison *PIX* threads linked in a single place; so, I took the links from his website and post them here "as is" - I only listed them in alphabetical order. Mostly links contains Blu-ray comparison, but some don't; I thought to leave them here becuase it will be useful for someone!

Good job! I added it to the "sticky" list at the top. Thanks.

Xylon certainly provided a valuable service for these type of comparisons. In the same vein, Caps-A-Holic is a good site:

I have about 200 comparisons as well. About 9 gigs/ 4500 shots. I'm too lazy to make a website of them, but if anyone wants to make one for me, I'd gladly send them all the files tongue.gif

Here's the few I bothered to do https://sites.google.com/site/hdcomparisons/

I know he let his screen cap website's domain lapse. Sadly, I think he's moved on from screenshots. AVS member Cinema Squid turned the entire focus of his website to screenshots:
