Spite you? No sir, you are mistaken. Pork fat is the very glue that holds society together. Without it, we'd have a thermal implosion. You're like the swine Yoda.

I also felt the movie itself was the worst Marvel film I've seen yet. I like them all including the first Thor. This was just a real bore and the plot/villain just weren't very compelling.

The movie is enjoyable enough to a point, what with all the spaceships and laser guns, but Thor himself is an utter bore and it drags down the whole show. Chris Ecclestone plays the villain far too straight as well; it's a comic book movie, fer Chrissakes!

Loved the GOTG tease though, and the new One Shot is ****ing fabulous.

I have really mixed feelings about this movie. While it was lovely and dark, there was far too much comedy in the film. I did partially enjoy the film but the first was better. Also it was fast getting to the stage that this is becoming the bloopers reel.

Plus it was depressing most of this film was in London. I'm so sick of how London is always in films. Portrayed all there is to the UK is London.

Given the serious tone for the rest of the film, I'm inclined to think the sudden shift there was due to meddling on the part of the producers and Disney.

Still, I found Thor: The Dark World a far more satisfying experience than Iron Man 3 which was for my money the worst Marvel film by far. Even the All Hail the King one shot on the Thor disk seemed like an apologist reversal for what was done with the Mandarin in that movie.

Aye!

The film felt really short as well... but I really loved all those dark space crafts with the glowing reds. Intense.

Though, the Iron Man plane rescue scene was fantastic and the house party intro. Is that... Yeah. Are those... Yep.

With visually dark movies sometimes you will have tweak the setting on your TV. I know if flies in the face of having calibrated video equipment but it has to be done at times.

I agree. Thor seemed a little too dim on my Panasonic S60. I usually use the cinema mode for most content, but with this film I switched to the custom mode which I set to match the cinema mode with the exception of the AGC adjustment which is bumped up from 0 to 2. It tweaks the gamma just enough to give the picture a bit more punch.
