300 Rise Of An Empire

Is there a software problem with this movie. Have tried everything to get this to play in my Oppo 83. The Oppo has the latest firmware have unplugged power erased memory. Will play the standard DVD but not the HD version tried the HD version in my 10 year old Panasonic BD10 no problems.

When you say the HD won't play, do you see anything on screen or the front panel display, error messages or error codes of any sort. Also try clearing the memory cache without un-plugging it.
Some Blu ray players have used a persistent memory in the past and pulling the plug won't clear it.
New blu-ray releases that were always one step ahead of the software used to be fairly common blu-ray player problem. The fact the disc plays on your old BD-10 is a good sign. If nothing you try seems to work get a hold of Oppo, you may not be the only one having this problem with this title.
Let us know how it goes.

Watched this tonight. With the exception of Eva Green's fine ta-ta's, this movie sucked. And I liked the first one.

I actually thought part two was much more entertaining vs part 1 as far as the HT experience goes. Both movies are totally ridiculous.

Played fine in my Oppo 93.

Guess I am the odd man out, but I watched this again last night and what a fun HT experience! Watched in 3d this time and was surprised how strong the depth 3d was in particular. Fun HT ride for me!

The 3d in this has a depth that most natively shot 3d films don't always have. This is the best 3d conversion I've seen. How did you like the naval battles.

I agree. All the ash, smoke, haze really helped make the aggressive depth standout, plus there was lots of foreground, mid-ground and background going on which helped show the various 3d layers.

The Naval battles were fantastic! One of the best 3d presentations I have seen and bests most native titles.
