There were absolutely no other compression artifacts or other problems during my 2 viewings of KOH on the PS3. And as clearly shown, I do tend to notice anything out of the ordinary

Yes, Yes, as Fett says, its a rectangle. Sorry to confuse the issue with my pink triangle joke

Note how 87% of AVS forum members who voted in this poll disagree with your site's assessment of Fearless and instead agree with mine.

Excuse me while I laugh my ass off about that idiotic thread. 84% of the whole... 38 people who voted thought that it was an infintessimally imperfect transfer vs. those who thought it was a perfect transfer? Wow, what insight! Somebody alert the media!

And stop referring to DVDTalk as a single entity, as if there were only one person reviewing every disc.

You seem to think a lot of threads around here are "idiotic". One wonders why you keep coming back here.

32 out of 39 AVSers agree, DVDTalk is full of crap. Take that how you want. And how did I refer to DVDTalk as a "single entity"? I said "your site" instead of "your"as in, "the site you work for, not you personally". Was that somehow confusing?

So clean your own house before complaining about mine. As I recall you argued vehemently that Sleepy Hollow was a reference title. You and Gary are pretty much alone on that score. Would that qualify you as "a complete joke" and "ridiculous"? Hey, your words, not mine.

Really? That's what the poll is asking? Why don't you show me where it says that?

I'd also like to know whether you told people to vote before or after they've turned the Sharpness on their TV all the way to the maximum like you do?

Many people review for DVDTalk. There are over 50 reviewers on staff. We don't always all share the same opinion.

I never argued that Sleepy Hollow was a "reference title", whatever that's supposed to mean. What I may have argued is that it looks the way that it's supposed to. When I reviewed it, I gave it 3.5 stars out of a possible 5, a rating of "very good". That still seems fair to me and I stand by it, regardless of whatever hair-brained opinions you may have about it.

A few snaps through the port holes of a private 35mm screening of KOH.
Very hard to take clear pictures in low light when you cannot stop the image.
The BD transfer holds up very well to the film.

I see the pink rectangle - it is so subtle - like a rectangular region had a pink filter applied for a second or 2. Maybe paidgeek can be asked to see if he has seen the digital master to check if the rectangle is there.

If it wasn't pointed out, I would have seen the movie 10 times and I wouldn't have picked it up. I was standing 12" away and doing slow motion before I saw it.

Anyone compared it to the SD DVD? Is the pink elephant there too?

Stephen.

Chances are very good that I was drinking when I posted the above.

What could cause this? Because it is perfectly rectangular, it can't be an effect of something in front of the camera. It has to be something in the editing room. But why would they put a pink rectangular marker in there for a few GOPs only?

A Mystery! We must get to the bottom of this.

You don't know whether to believe him or not? That's scary.
