Destiny's Child
NIN
Incubus

are some that come to mind.

Also,
Elvis Costello

Toto

Except for Destiny's Child (which I can't find anywhere), I have them all so far.

In case some of the younger guys and gals just glossed over that title name and thought some dance number. or weren't alive and kickin in '76, here's a quick primer -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Waltz

P/Q isn't the best - given the source.
You can see Marty S.(the de-rect-toire) in his formative years.

The audio brings tears to eyes of some folks that appreciate the performers.
Like moi.
This was the first Blu-ray disc I bought.

P.S.
A few clips from the concert to whet your appetites.
These video clips should be played LOUD !

You know this guy, I think !

Penton -

You got that right. The rendition of Helpless does bring a tear to the eye. One of the best songs I've ever heard from Neil. Unbelieveable.

I came here just to mention The Last Waltz. And I was born in 1977!

I rented this the other week, and I'll definitely be buying this one, cause it's a keeper!

I've got Incubus - Alive at red rocks on regular DVD and it's great, I can imagine the Blu-Ray is really good. Also as shamus1099 said the NIN disc is awesome.

Thanks Richard

Interesting... I guess I'll have to check it out now. I'm not really into rock but I imagine loud music sounds great lossless.

BD- 134
HD DVD- 98

Since we're starting to see requests here across all music genres concerning future releases, might I add --

for blues fans.. something by Stevie Ray Vaughan(guitarist extraordinaire) on Blu-ray would be nice.

I may get that just because the Red Rocks venue looks awesome and see if I like the sound of Incubus.

I think the last time I purchased a concert disc from that location was WAY long ago for my wife as she implored me to get the Moody Blues with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra recorded live at the Red Rocks in '92 ?

U2's Rattle and Hum was the first one out I think. The PQ is predictably grainy but the sound is phenomenal.

His appearances on Austin City Limits were shot on Standard Def, so I doubt you'll be seeing those.

For those of you looking for a little 70s and 80s throwback, 25th Anniversary: Live in Amsterdam from Toto, is a great Blu-ray disc...

Agreed! This is a fantastic performance. I'm somewhat biased, but having seen Toto in concert and having the good fortune of getting to know the guys in the band pretty well, they just keep getting better and better. Their last CD, which was released last year and titled 'Falling In Between', is in my opinion their best work since Toto IV. Anyway, regarding the Live In Amsterdan DVD/Blu-Ray, I would recommend it to anyone who even remotely enjoys Toto. Great stuff!

Thanks for the info. Orded from Amazon.UK. should have it by Monday.

Have most of the above concerts. The Legend Of Jazz and John Legend concerts have great PQ and AQ.

I agree with the Toto performance as top notch.

My favorites are :
- While my guitar gently weeps
- Africa
- Rosanna

Last time when I changed my speakers and recalibrated their settings on the AVR, I would continuously use this disk as a sanity check.

Once in a while, I will still play the entire concert in front of friends.

I am still waiting for Fleetwood Mac.

If some of you guys are unaware,
Here's a heads-up for this horn player.

Chris Botti..

If you've never heard his sound, he opened the Vic's Secret Holiday Show the year before last (which also featured Seal), so give this a listenHeck, if you don't like his sound at least you can enjoy the visuals on this clip.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoshsvDcAOo

Amazon, and I guess all your favorite online sellers are taking pre-orders.
