I loved the movie, I thought it was really funny. I was wondering if the blu-ray version is worth the purchase? Is it an upgrade from lets say the Starz-HD version? Thanks

Sony sent me a copy a while back. The PQ is pretty good. Not much in the way of compression artifacting, and since much of it is shot outdoors in the sun it comes across real well. The colors were rich and there was some pop throughout the movie. Pretty silly movie, but if you're a fan of it, it's definitely worth a buy.

I've got to agree with Alexander, I was pleasantly surprised by the PQ. The movie doesn't get mentioned much at all around here, probably because of lack of popularity for the movie itself. I enjoyed it though, just need to dumb yourself down for a couple of hours

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but this was $10 at Best Buy with a $5 gift card, so effectively $5. It's a really solid release. Fine grain structure and no artifacts or obvious filtering. If you're a fan of the film, it's worth picking up. I didn't even know it was on Blu-ray, so I'm doubly pleased.
