Thanks! Unfortunately I'm not interested in any of the ones listed at 40% off. I decided to purchase at Amazon and ended up getting the four listed above... Casino Royale, both POTC's and Apocalypto... plus I decided to also get the PS3 F1 game. This should be a very fun start. Next is Blockbuster Total Access or Netflix... leaning toward BB TA for the ease of in store returns and free in store pickups (plus the one free game a month... I'm not much of a gamer so that should be plenty). I wanted to pick up a couple demo disks to always have on hand and will likely save the rest for rentals.
Good choices, you did not miss out on much on the Sony sale. Most of the titles were crap.. The best was Casino Royale. Also I suggest you download the F1 demo before you open that game. I thought the game looked nice, but gameplay was a dud; not very fun. I would hate you to waste $60 on a crappy game.
amazon is probably the best place overall to get BD's as their prices are nice. In terms of brick and mortar stores, if you have a Fry's by you, I would go there. I have a Fry's across the street from Best Buy and every single BD at Fry's is $5 cheaper than at BB.
Thank you for your take on the game. I've read nothing but good reviews. My PS3 isn't hooked up to the net and probably won't be for a while. I'll be sure to read up more before opening the case.
you should hook up your ps3 to the net, that way you can download patch updates earlier than those who download files, usually a day ahead. you're also missing out on a lot of downloadable contents via the playstation store. also with the ps3 hooked up to ur pc's network, you can stream media off your pc to your
if you don't want to run a wire to where you have the ps3 and don't want to go wifi, you can try powerline adapters. i use this one http://www.directron.com/hdxb101.html. u simply plug one end in a plug near ur ps3, hook up the included patch cable from device to ps3, and do the same near your computer and hook up cable to router.
