They maybe have done some colorchanges to the movie, but nothing that I could see that didnt gave the Blade runner look.

Its a fine presentation of the movie.

Good movies are as rare as an on topic discussion.

I vividly remember the colour at the cinema of the final showdown between Batty and Deckard, could you post some screens to show how green that scene is or when Batty visits Chew.

Comparisons with the previous versions have shown the Final Cut to be more green, but this is how it's supposed to look, as Charles de Lauzirika has said the colours on the DVD are the same as the FC theatrical presentation.

Judging by those screen caps, there's nothing wrong with it. The Final Cut is supposed to have the blue/green colour-timing to it. Charlie confirmed this on another forum.
But the other cuts don't have that look. Less green

Could you post a link to the forum where he confirmed ? That's interesting, I think they went a bit too wild, Matrix style, personaly.

I'm starting to loose the plot here, can we keep this discussion about the blu-ray version of blade runner, not the DVD...

Awesome. When will we get his PQ ratings for the HD versions though?

This will be one of those few releases where I will actually watch the supplemental material. Every last one of them!

This is fantastic news thus far.

This has the potential to be my favorite release on HDM yet!

I hope for PCM or DolbyTrueHD,

here is what is on HD DVD - UK edition

The audio comes in 5.1 tracks of the main European languages and the English track is Dolby True HD 5.1, there is an English DD+ track mentioned on the disc cover but none on the disc reviewed here. The audio track has been created sensibly with a lack of fussiness over the mixing of dialogue, although there are lines spoken from behind the camera so I wonder if a 7.1 mix may be even more impressive than this mix where dialogue always comes from the central speaker with some front stereo reproduction as well.

Remember this is a title from 82.

Its looks better then ever, but dont espect it to look like modern films that comes directly from a DI.

Good movies are as rare as an on topic discussion.

TrueHD on Blu and HD. The sets are completely identical according to the specs.

Can anyone with the BR 5-disc set confirm whether discs 2 & 4 come on standard DVD (as with the HD-DVD set), and if so, what region the DVD's are encoded for.

Thanks

Best Buy is reportedly having the 4-disc DVD on sale for $22.99 next week, and the two-disc for $12.99. I'll be picking up the 4-disc DVD for my brother - already have the Blu-Ray on order for myself.

EDIT: Had the two-disc price wrong. Also, if you buy any version of Blade Runner at Best Buy, you can get THX-1138 or Forbidden Planet for $5.

"the transfer's edge enhancement will look excessive on larger displays."

No...no..NO!!

When will they learn that High-def transfers dont need edge enhancement!!

I cant beleave Lowry let this get through! Hopefully theres something wrong with the reviewers display. Let us pray this will not be an issue with the Blu-ray editions....

I have a 1080p screen running at native resolution 24p from the Sony PS3. I didn't notice any hint of EE on Blade Runner The Final Cut on Blu-ray, even with my face pressed up against the screen.

You're right.
What review said it had EE?
I haven't seen a BD review yet.

Ridiculous codec tier sig gone. Still AVC/24bit lossless fanboy.

Studio quality tier
Most Major studios>Small Studios>dogs>cats>Warner(the guys that do new movies)
