Friday or so I had 6 movies at the top of my queue that were "Long Wait." Overnight they all became "Available Now." It looks like they just purchased more copies of BD movies.

"30 Days of Night" and "We Own the Night" were two of them. I received them today along with "No Country For Old Men."

Pics from my TV here and here.

(3 at a time plan)- Received Across the Universe and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford last Thursday. Returned Assassination and a SD Monday. Today Netflix is shipping In the Valley of Elah along with another SD I had moved to the top. Queue is also showing over 30 available now BD titles. This is an encouraging sign!

You're doing much better than me, I haven't received a BR or HD disc in my last four shipments over two weeks

I'm already out as of March 1st. If it gets better for the copies of BDs they make available, I'll reactivate my account. There is at best a short wait but usually long ones when I check my queue for BDs I wanted to watch!

My queue also has a few "long waits" on it and I came up with a system that works quite well. Of course I leave all of those at the top and when I get them, I get them. My friends and I are always talking about a great actor or scene or even great movie that came out sometime in the past. There are so many other awesome movies and shows that are out there to fill the void. Granted most of them are just DVDs but for a lot of these movies, the story supersedes the visual quality. I just finished Stanley Kubrick's 1962 film "Lolita". It was in black and white but "WOW" that James Mason plays quite a wack. I also get TV shows and run thru a season at my own pace. Not having commercials is very nice as well. Right now we are in season 2 of Ron Howard's "Arrested Development". Funny Funny stuff.
I hope this helps anyone finding themselves in a drought.

I'm going to cancel my netflix subscription soon. It's getting worse now.
For a short while I thought it was getting better.

What keeps me hooked to netflix is their online viewing content. If it weren't for that, I would dump their sorry ass a long time ago.

Time to move on to Blockbuster.

Online viewing? Does it allow HD viewing on a TV?

My experience mirrors this...seems like they are ramping up with more discs.

Or everyone leaving leaves more discs for those that remain.

Either way, I'm happy again.

Netflix has certainly had their availability ups and downs over the years, but I've been a member for what seems like forever and I have confidence that they'll get these issues worked out - meeting supply and demand on margin is never a simple issue. Like others in this thread, I've been getting quite a few Blu-ray discs recently from alternative service centers (with something like 120 BD in my queue) so they are at least doing something to address my "queue top". I'm not one of those types that has to see things as soon as they come out and I get a steady stream of great movies, so I'm satisfied (and free unlimited instant viewing is a sweet bonus).

I know it may be like pouring gasoline on the fire, but I was curious if anyone was interested in a thread with links to the Netflix rentals like the one stickied for Blockbuster Online. I've got all the Netflix movie IDs and certainly wouldn't mind maintaining it.

Happy to report that I'm getting Enchanted sent to me. 3rd time in a row the new release at the top of my queue gets sent to me on the Monday of release week

Unfortunately I'm still having trouble getting recent releases like Jesse James, 3:10, etc. Perhaps they've upped their stock on new releases but it will take a while before they increase stock on already released items?

You picked Enchanted over I Am Legend? I'm in the same situation, been waiting for Jesse James for a while now, but I'm getting I Am Legend tomorrow.

Im getting Enchanted as well.

No such luck with titles like No Country, Valley of Elah, Michael Clayton, 30 Days of Night etc though, and I thought I had timed each one of them right (Netflix received a movie back from me on the Monday before release dates for those titles).

Doesn't seem to matter what format the new releases are in Blu, DVD, or HD-DVD, all are very long wait for me.

I bought I am Legend and promptly removed it from my queue. I am Legend for $18.95 was hard for me to pass up.

anyone know if there is a hidden link to netflix to show the new releases page they got rid of? I heard it is still there somewhere on their website but cannot be accessed. I hate that new scrolling one that only shows movies available now.

I looked for a while. I got nothing. I'm afraid it may be gone and now were left with the "new and improved" version of new releases.

Here's the link to the old style Releasing This Week list:
http://www.netflix.com/AllNewRelease...AllNewReleases

And put me in the boat of receiving very few BDs from NetFlix.

that is totally irritating.

i've been having better luck now that i downgraded from 3 unlimited to 2. i've got 3 BDs at home (sunshine, gone babygone, king of california), somehow they sent 3 after i downgraded i dont know why. i had gone 2 weeks with no BD, and never had more than 1 at a time even though i keep them at the top of q.

Thanks for the link, I was wondering how this link still works since you can't access it from any tabs.
