Laurence of Arabia has been on the generic BD demo disc for nearly a whole year now and the cuts they use look FANTASTIC, they must be done a Blade Runner style restoration on it.

I really want more TV series on Blu-Ray, specifically either Stargate and now Universal is Blu, I'd like a good good quality BSG out (and accept my trade-in for the utterly atrocious HD DVD season 1 release)

There Will Be Blood

Solaris

Magnolia

Children of Men

Minority Report

The Bourne Identity

The Bourne Supremacy

The Bourne Ultimatum

The Thin Red Line

Gangs of New York

Collateral

City of God

A.I Artificial Intelligence

Just off the top of my head.

Please do not release any universally acclaimed classics praised by most critics. Please do not release movies on the AFI top-100 list.

Abandon all pretensions of art; only sell stuff that makes a quick buck. Sell yourself out. Whore yourself out to mediocre movies and turn more $20 (oops I mean $40 with the cost of blu-ray) tricks.

Therefore, I suggest you release

Coyote Ugly

The Last Sentinel

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Alien vs. Predator

and many others.

Please cancel the forthcoming releases of Bonnie and Clyde and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Kudos for re-releasing 12 Angry Men on DVD and skipping the high definition version.

Shame on you for Bladerunner!

At this time, DVD Active only indicates a DVD release, but we all know this is coming out for Blu-ray.

only question is if this will be the uncut/unrated version. if not, i'd pass. the stuff mentioned like the music video and bond girls are forever are already on the current bd. they should wait til end of the year when Quantum of Solace comes out.

I heard rumors of this release before I had a chance to purchase the other version, so I held off. This release will be good for me.

And at least commentary is included this time.

That's very good news that Dr. Zhivago is Warner, they are one of the only studios that release high definition movies from ages ago. Maybe the only studio?

Also patiently waiting for LOTR, but that one is obviously not an if, but when. LOTR: ROTK will be the best looking, best Blu Ray EVER! My SD extended cut copy looks BEAUTIFUL upscaled, I can't even begin to imagine how good it'll look in high definition. I used to be pro HD DVD all the way, but then I got to thinking about titles like this one and realized the extra 20 GB would go a long way. But that being besides the point, with New Line announcing that even titles like Semi-Pro (
) will be getting DTS-MA audio and 2 discs, I can only drool about what they will do with LOTR. DTS-MA, 4 50 GB Blu Ray disc Extended cut? PLEASE?

It should be a river in South America? An on-line shopping outlet?

I have a feeling that both Bad Boys should show up by the end of the year. It not like they'll have another Will Smith to cross-promote with. [Cough]Hancock[/Cough]

Much like Shawshank Redemption which was advertised for more then a year, and will be released finally at the end of this year, I think this is jsut one of those titles that was planned to be released, but got "pushed". Just take a look on how long Harry Potter and Shawshank Redemption were both advertised (among others) before actual release. I think sometimes companies just throw together quick clips that will benefit the trailer. They will tag it as "coming soon" that way they are not herald to any specific date.

The DVD's said mastered in High Definition (Which 99.99% of Sony's DVD note), which means they used a HD master from the original 35 MM print.

Michael Bay has yet to use digital cameras on a feature film.

"You ain't seen Bad Boys 2?"
in HD

I hated this film. But I so want it on BD. It's a Sony title? This and Once Upon a time in Mexico have been on those trailers for freaking ever. I wonder if they are sitting in a little room with some sort of label that says 'Rights issues do not open'. Everything else there has been printed.

#575 ·
How about a Michael Bay Penta-Pack ?

1) Bad Boys I

2) Bad Boys II

3) Armageddon

4) The Island with LOSSLESS AUDIO

5) Transformers

I'm seriously not happy. The war is over and suddenly release information dies off. Finding Nemo goes to 2009, Fox are hiding their big titles... This has seriously annoyed me.

Sod you studios! Give us proper classic releases, waiting till 2009 is not acceptable! Its a damm good job we had a format war or some of the titles out today might have not made it just yet.
