Why not remove the deals that have expired? Why keep them in the first post?

Because then you get a plethora of "Hey, doesn't Disney have a $5.00 coupon?" or "I thought Frys had Blu-rays for $14.00. What happened?" posts.

This way, everyone can see what has expired for a couple of days, and they don't have to ask. The expireds will be removed shortly anyway.

I normally don't enter sweepstakes... but winning a 100 free

and from Amazon... No purchase necessary.... Good luck!

Is there a lawyer who can explain this:
Eligibility. The Amazon.com 2008 Blu-ray Giveaway Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, except residents of New York, who have reached the age of the majority in their state of residence at time of entry.

Why is there NO perfect equipment, only compromises?

Open to everyone over the age of "majority" (18 in most states), except for residents of NY.

Sounds like you have to be at least 18 and not live in NY state to enter.

The problem with obsessions is that they are insatiable.

That particular $10 MIR form in question is the exact same one that is (should be) found in BD copies of Con Air, The Rock, and Crimson Tide. Spot-checking of some posts in this thread and elsewhere seem to indicate that the majority of folks reporting missing MIR forms in their BD copies of Con Air and/or The Rock bought their copies at Walmart.

In any case, you can call Buena Vista Home Video to have them mail you the form if your movie is missing it.

Anyone tried this?

You don't need the original receipt (or a copy of such) for the SD DVD versions, just the UPC or POP; the only receipt you are required to mail in is the one for the purchase of the BD version, along w/ the UPC or POP from the BD version.

I thought so, but I wanted to confirm that I am excluded from this very cool promotion.

What about a receipt from say Amazon. It says on the form the sales receipt must be from a store with an address in the state you reside. Has this been addressed by anyone and I just missed it?

Thanks.

Yes it has, but in the previous thread. In short, send a copy of the receipt anyway. I bought my PS3 from Amazon and the 5 free movies offer had the same restriction in the form... I have my 5 movies at home right now.

Here's a good start. You can scroll down the list or use their search DVD function also, to go faster ...
http://whv.warnerbros.com/WHVPORTAL/...tleORCastCrew=

Then, enter the JABM8 code at checkout

Check this one out. I don't know if this was mentioned before but I stumbled across a site called
http://www.blu-rayboxsets.com/

It seems to be an offshoot of Amazon. It collects all the Amazon sellers from their marketplace on a seperate website. They are selling used and new Blu-Ray's and the prices for the new ones seem pretty good. Worth a little time to search. Enjoy!

The prices look good on that website...until you proceed to checkout. Every Blu-Ray movie is shipped from a different seller (and different location) and you have to pay shipping on each one! All the money that you save on the prices is completely destroyed by the shipping costs...

I hope Amazon puts out a new sale next week. However, I have a feeling we'll be buying at full price for a while (well, 30% off anyway. Except for the 51 titles still at 42%-50% off).

Underworld Evolution went up $7 on Amazon!?!

I was waiting for it to drop to under $15. I hope there's a BOGO in the works or another sale. $27 for a blu-ray that's well over a year old is silly.

maybe we should add the link/form below and any other mail in offers (Rock/ Con-air) to the first post. If we buy or have bought movies that are eligible for further offers, that'd be good to know.
