Kind of an odd-ball question here, and hopefully somone out there knows the answer off the top of their head.

My mom just recently bought a 32" 720p LCD HDTV. She was complaining about how her DVDs tend to look dark and poorly on this new set. I went over and messed with some of her display settings and I'm convinced it's the poor quality signal she's getting from her ~8 year old DVD/VHS player over composite.

Anyway, to get to the point, I was going to try and pick her up a cheap A2 as an upconverter which would give her a much beter signal over HDMI or component.

If I was to pick up an A2 without a remote, would the remote for my A2 be able to control it? I currently have a logitech harmony, so I am not using my A2's old remote.

Thanks in advance for any insight on this topic.

KJ

based on the fact that my a-2 and a-30 remotes each control both players, i'd say yes.

Excellent. I have never had more than one player so I wasn't able to check myself.

I appreciate the input!
