Hello all, I typically don't use my HD-A30 as a CD player, but I tried to the other day and found the sound quality to be abysmal. Anyone else Notice this phenomenon? I have it connected via HDMI to a Denon AVR-3808ci. For comparison purposes I played the cd immediately after in my Bluray player and my Xbox 360 and it sounded fine on both.

Any input is appreciated, dunno if its defective, a setting I overlooked, or something else.

My A-30 sounds decent enough to my ears, but I am connected to my receiver via fiber toslink, not hdmi. (HDMI to tv only). Again, not the best I've ever heard, but no complaints.
