I am a hard of hearing guy. I would like a blu ray player that would power the polk audio CS1 center speaker along with a panasonic flat screen plasma that I am planing on getting. Home theater would be wretched excess in my case. Reading specs on blu ray players leaves me confused as to what specs will tell me if I can power my one pathetic speaker without resorting to a separate amp. Hope this is the correct forum. Thank You

Tr0dy:

If you haven't done so, you may want to repost this in one of the Blu-ray threads.

yep, you posted in the wrong section...

But this may help?

Blu-ray can't power any speakers. You can use the displays speakers if it has them.
