I have one and contacted Onkyo USA online store a few months ago to see if they had any left (at some point they sold them for $149-$199 or so, plus coupon), but they are all gone. Ebay, classifieds, etc are your only bet now, I think. Good luck! DB

Sure, Ron-no problem Sometimes you can find players new on Ebay, too. Good luck!

I purchased 2 refurb's from Onkyo for around $99 each and received 2 brand new 805's. I have since sold one, and the other one is being used since purchase. This must have been a year or more ago. They sold them all in a short period.

I have an 805 and an xa-2, bought both new at a high price. I like the 805, it matches my Onkyo receiver, but I would buy an xa-2. It is the same thing, and it has a better case ( has a heavy extra metal plate bolted to the outside ), it is a total tank. The xa-2 also, has the "picture" adjustment button on it's remote. The 805 has this features, but doesn't have this adjustment on its remote ( you need to use a third party programable, or an xa-2 remote to access ).

I still own about 350 hd-dvds and I don't plan on double dipping them for blu-rays. I always wanted to get a xa2 but it was not in the budget, however, i just bought a
HD-805 which is pretty much the same player as the xa2.

I have both. They share the same hardware, but to my eyes the HD-805 produces a tad nicer picture. And the XA2 remote, which enables you to access the "picture" tweaking settings on the 805, is fairly easy to find (on the auction site).

I programed my harmony 880 to the XA2 codes. I adjusted the picture on a really good pause of a nature movie..... Wow...this player rocks for the jack I spent on it.

I bought mine from the record exchange media trade in store in the town that I live in. It was blind luck if you will. I was shocked to see a price tag of $25.00 on it, so it was a no brainer for me to pick this up. I thought my samsung up5000 looked good until I played with this.

The remote on the xa2 is heavy and backlit, while the 805's is just like the rest of the other Toshiba HD remotes - cheap.

I ended up programming the XA2 in my harmony 880 instead of buying another remote
