I would like to know as well. I just picked the drive up in the hopes of ripping the remaining HD-DVDs, but Windows won't recognize it.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Fixed it. Hook the drive up to an Xbox. It downloaded the latest FW, hooked it back up to the PC, recognized it no problem!

What software are you using to play the HD DVD's back on your computer?

I'm using MakeMKV to rip them. I'm planning to put them on a hard drive to play on my Oppo. Just regular MKV files, so if you have the Kazaa Lite codec pack you can play them no problem.

Does Windows 10 recognize the Xbox HD-DVD drive?

I'm looking for ways to consolidate my home theater. I have a HTPC that I'd like to add this drive to (haven't purchased one yet), and a HD-A2. I'd like to get rid of the HD-A2 so that it's one less HDMI input used on my receiver.
