Recently remodeled... No need for a fireplace in central Florida.

Set up is

Panasonic 61LCX65
Onkyo SR674 Receiver
Xbox 360 Elite w/ HD-DVD
Playstation 3
Wii
Apple TV 40GB
Sony 400+1 Disc DVD player
Slingbox Pro
2 subs (1 for low, 1 for low mids)
Onkyo speaker set...

Need to upgrade speakers.. And the new space just happens to be big enough for the Mitsubish 73833 that I've been eying for a while..

Oh, and that is the 1992 Data East original Star Wars Pinball Machine in the back of the room.

Thats a nice little setup!

If I may offer you my opinion on one thing...... I would put the A2 down on top of the cable box with a inch or two of lift, for heat purposes, or vice versa, then you could put that center speaker over a tad bit and be centered.

Yeah, that is what I planned on doing, however there is a center support bar that goes across the middle for the top glass panel and it JUST gets in the way of my center channel. It has to be on one side or the other.

If it were me, I would notch that bar just enough so the speaker could slide on over.

That's why I measured my speaker sizes before buying the unit. Then I made sure to check that my center channel and gear would fit with enough of headroom for breathing.

It actually wasn't bad at all. The cabinets were all bathroom vanities that have the fake drawer cut off, shaved a bit, and lowered. The middle ones had the door inserts cut out and I stretched speaker grill fabric across them. This is where the subs reside (right 2). On the left side in the center houses all of the video game stuff, well most of it. I've toyed with moving all of the AV stuff down there and just installing some fans at the top and back to keep some circulation in there. The hope is that I could suck air in through the front speaker grill fabric and then out the top and back; though I don't want the TV to get too hot either.. So, for now everything sits on the very top shelf with plenty of ventilation and no wires shown...

The difference in appearance is definitely night and day; even up close. The before picture was how the house was built and the wood was junk and the fireplace was never used. So, we just made it look like it was built ins by building the shelves out.. Fun project! More pictures can be seen at my flickr site:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/audioer...7600037907017/

The nicest part is that I don't have to worry about any of those little TV stands, or trying to find a stand that matches everything else and holds my TV and all of the equipment...
