Thanks for the response and for starting and maintaining this helpful thread.

However, I'm looking for the official Toshiba documentation which would probably be similar to item #3 on your list of 2.7 FAQs, plus it would include graphics showing the menu items involved in activating the new features.

Anyone knows what happens if you select DIGITAL DIRECT AUDIO MODE to ON, but Leave HDMI out to PCM??????

I read in the A35 thread that that is the correct way to listen to TruHD for a receiver that can process HDMI audio, but can't decode the new formats.

LOL, I've had mine Digital Direct Audio Mode to OFF and HDMI set to PCM, but I think I'm hearing Ture HD just fine on my Receiver.

Mike, you are fine. The Digital Direct Audio Mode only comes into play if you have HDMI set to bitstream.
