My favorites are the Heart, Orbison, and Motorhead ones.

Oh...forgot about the Queen, too. I bought that one on BD the first time around so I didn't think about it being on both formats.

I liked yes live in montreaux, though it is true that this good performance can`t be compared to the energy of the songs performed on the albums.

I didn't find this performance to be as good as the House of Yes one a few years earlier. Judging by both of these, they are pretty tame live.

maybe they were younger and had more energy then. the fragile album from which many of the songs are included in the montreux concert, sounds incredibly energetic and powerful on the cd. it is almost non comparable.

Ok, this disc has to be mentioned, even though it is not at the overall quality level of any of the more recent releases. I'm talking about the Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey disc from the UK. The image quality is what you would expect from a 1967 concert - grainy, and probably no better than a VHS tape in many ways. The audio quality was quite good to me, really nothing to complain about.

But where this has to score significant bonus points is on the historical impact of this disc. This was the first concert that Hendrix appeared in the US following his explosion in the UK, and he went straight up from here. I really enjoyed the extra feature that included "Stone Free" - this is crappy audio quality, but I swear there's a guy in the background just in awe of Hendrix, and it looks like a Pete Townshend clone to me!

Anyway, this shouldn't be at the top of any list, but I have played this 3 times already, and even with my wife getting me the Complete Monterey Pop Festival that includes this concert, I'll be keeping the HD DVD.

NIN.

Off the top of my head NIN may be the only concert HD DVD I have (I already had the Eagles on DVD and that is a great one too, maybe someday I will upgrade it). I do have several Blu-Ray concert discs and I feel the NIN HD DVD has an overall PQ and AQ that I have yet to see matched.

Thanks Richard

I really didn't expect much, most bands with 40+ years under their belts are looking a little bored and tired but The Moody Blues still rock out like it's 1980!

There are 20 songs with not a lame one in the bunch. The video quality is better than any other concert disc I've seen so far and the audio is right up there as well. Most important, the band was cookin' that night and the live audience was in to the show.

So many great songs but I have to say "Isn't Life Strange" was the standout with many others not too far behind. Thanks to everyone involved for such a great disc!

So what is your favorite concert?

Moody Blues = Yes
Eagles = No

And the Eagles HD-DVD is the better of the 2 (although we like the Moody Blues HD-DVD also).
