To my surprise T3 was in my Amazon Gold Box this morning. With the 10% discount and free shipping (Prime), it's a $16 HD-DVD. I was not planning on picking this one up, but the price is right. I can always eBay it. Anyone else see HD-DVDs in their Gold Boxes?

I've seen The Last Samurai and Unforgiven in my Gold Box for $18.95 a piece. Unfortunately, I'm not interested in either one even at that price. It does give me hope that I might find a more appealing title in my Gold Box one day.

UPDATE: I just checked my Gold Box and I saw T3 there as well along with the jello! I kind of thought everyone got different deals, but I guess I was wrong.

I got Jello and Brokeback Mountain (DVD) in mine. Well could have been worse, it could have been pudding.

No T3 in mine, but I have a offer for T3 for free with subscription to Amazon Prime. I couldn't see spending $79 for the movie, so I passed.

Ditto.

Why they think I'd pay $13.50 for a huge pile of apple-coated watermelon candy is beyond me. That clearly isn't tied to my purchase history.

The Nerds are the "Item of the day", and as such are kind of like woot.com. It has nothing to do with your browsing or purchasing history. Your 10 traditional "Gold Box" items are in the right column on that same page, and they ARE based on your browsing/purchasing history.

if you look on the right side of the page, there are specials where you can select one on the list for the chest discount. for hd-dvds, i have unforgiven and t3 selectable for the chest discount before the normal 10% hd discount.

True, but at least 3 HD-DVD titles offered to me are the ones I've purchased... from Amazon.com

Nerds.
I like candy but I prefer Dots, gummy bears or jolly ranchers.
I definetly don't need 36 packs of nerds.

MI box was also in there, but my interest in that series is pretty low.
