I saw a thread like this stickied over in the Blu-ray software forum. There are some really nice shots in that thread! Let's see what HD DVD can do.....post away!

Here's a couple from my Sony RP LCD (A10) using the Xbox 360 HD DVD add on:

Dang, that's some great filming. They don't look like their were recorder with HDCAM at all. Very film like appearance to them.

Here's my first try at some pics. These were taken 9 feet away from a 72-inch screen and projected by an Infocus IN72 (480p unit).

I literally got this camera this morning. I'll post more when I get the hang of it. Anyway, the

movies have better colors and sharpness in person.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

King Kong

And here's a couple from The Incredibles on SD DVD just cuz I was watching it this morning.

gooki, can you grab some of those 1920x1080 PowerDVD frames from other titles too? Do you have Ant Bully or King Kong or Serenity or Hulk?

King Kong is in transit - will hopefully arrive any day now.

Serenity will most likely be in my next bunch of discs - so probably 2 weeks away (that's what you get for living in the south pacific).

Hulk - no intention of purchasing just yet.

Ant Bully - would love to buy but it just costs to much.

I have some screenshots of Casino ready to upload, will probavly do that later today, and will slowly go though every HDDVD i can get my hands on.

try setting the camera to a 2 sec delay and place it on a steady surface if you don't have a tripod.

"A" for effort though!

So I got bored the other night and decided to do some quick comparisons to satisfy my curiosity (I don't have any of the HD formats yet... not even HDTV... lol). Anyways, I hope this works. Big thanks to gooki for his beautiful HD DVD captures. Be warned that these are not exact, just as close as I could get without making a huge effort...
