I just got my HD DVD copy and wow this movie rocks on HD DVD, great colors and lots of action (I always liked the Death Proof better than Planet Terror).

It is a great final HD DVD, get a copy while they last. It is a great movie to own it on HD DVD (about 15 USD here in Switzerland, shipping not included .

Just received my 2 copies of Death Proof today from Grooves-inc.com and I must say that i am very impressed with the picture quality and I have seen the blu-ray and I noticed no real difference between the 2 except the BR has a few more extras. Grooves shipped it very quickly, I think it took only like 6 days for it to arrive to VA. The Steel case looks amazing and I am glad I bought the HD-DVD over the Blu-Ray version. I just wish they had released Planet Terror like thhey did this one.

Cool. I am eagerly waiting for my copies. What player do you have? Anyone try this disc on the Xbox 360?

...for 30+ Euro...lol

Those bastards! They pull the pre-order, then try to rob you on the highway.

Grooves was A+++. Much cheaper, very fast shipping, highly recommended.

if they at least put it up inthe middle of december then maybe they would have been able to cheat somebody into buying it. I bought it from a marketplace seller for 19,50 euros total.

If anyone has an extra, I'd like to have this in my collection. It's not worth $30 to me, but would be cool to have.

Thanks for the review Josh. The disc also has Dolby Digital Plus in addition to DTS-HD.

The extras, while SD, are 16x9 also.

We made a special exception for the last HD DVD release, but are unlikely to do any others. Frankly, almost no one reads them. Also, we have a large queue of domestic Blu-rays that take priority.

Thanks for the review. I managed to pick up a copy on Ebay for under $30 w/ shipping. For the record, I still reference High Def Digest before every HD DVD purchase and yes, I still pick up a couple of discs a month.

Anybody know where I can get the HD-DVD version?

I only find it on Amazon.de and I can't figure out how to get through the shipping portion of the site...

Saw one on eBay in a group and then as a single, both over priced too.

thanks!

on amazon de the shipping will have internationale in the shipping part of the listing.basically its formatted just like amazon us and uk-i.e.info is in the same place just a different language.as of today they list 1 new deathproof that will ship internationally.be aware that if it wont ship to your international location a warling will come up after you load your delivery address.so if you see an ACHTUNG pop up you most likely will have to delete the sale.
