With the 20% off promo, DeepDiscount has them both for less - tax free/free shipping - if you don't need them today.

HD DVD, I hardly knew you....

They also have the 20% off in-store (for anyone in the Naperville, IL area). Although the prices are a dollar or two above the website...

I compared the two for the Complete Matrix Trilogy and Deep Discount was cheaper. (Just FYI - I'm sure you're right that their prices are generally lower)

Anyone know how long these 20% off codes will last?

Movie's great - one of my favorites, but the picture is still VERY soft on the remaster and STILL front-heavy on audio.

Are you refering to the original HD release or the new dark box or both?

Oh... answered my own question reading a bit deeper into the thread

So even the new dark box seems soft and front heavy.

Basically it is an updated list of current HD DVD software sales and the moderators are working on keeping HD vs BD format war talk out.

I'm the author of the thread over at fatwallet, I updated it as soon as I'm aware of any new sales. Feel free to post them there, as I typically check there more often than I do here. Also, it has multiple links to some other threads I created such as the $20 & under thread for Amazon titles.

Not to take this thread too far off topic, but I don't think we are ever going to see FMJ that is NOT front heavy or soft. I just don't think they are going to put the money into the movie to revamp it to peoples current multichannel-crisp and clean expectations.

I have tried repeatedly to enter the DD1109 Promo Code and cannot get it to take. I assume I need to do this in the shopping cart. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Update: I finally got it to take but it does not seem to work on pre-release items.

No, you need to call the toll free number to see if they've received it and everything is in process. The number should be on the form you submitted. When I sent mine back in July it took about three weeks for them to confirm that they had received it. I got my discs in a little over ten weeks.

Oops, I just looked and the number is not on the form. The number is 800-405-7520.
