I knew HD had a secret up its sleeve!

Good to see titles still coming out, anything else on the horizon still or has everything been thrown up in the air?

What company is behind the release of "The Ten"? Some indie studio?

Doubt it, that list of actors is way to big for a straight to DVD release. Even if it was horrible the studios would have put it in the theater just see if they could ride on some of their popularities (mainly Jessica Alba and Adam Brody).

This movie was released theatrically on 8/3/07 and grossed a grand total of $769,726 after playing in 47 theaters.

It is made up of ten stories, each inspired by one of the ten commandments.

And in case you are expecting a faith based family film like Evan Almighty, this one was rated R for "pervasive strong crude sexual content including dialogue and nudity, and for language and some drug material."

Looks good to me, can't be that bad can it? After taking the hit on a blind buy of Hot Rod I don't think I would regret this one as much.

From what I've heard, this film is 'crude & rude'.

Sounds like my kind of movie. Is Ms Alba nude in this movie?

This is about the worst movie I have ever seen. Reminds me of an American Monty Python clone. All wrong. Some may find it amusing because of the cast, but be warned...there's not much to laugh at here. Put it this way, if there had been some fart jokes or penis size jokes it would have been funnier. And that's about the lowest form of humor there is.

I Like Digital!

I think this is one of the advantages of HD DVD over Blu-ray. Indi and small labels can market these small titles on HD DVD lot easier than they can on Blu-ray. HD DVD may live on as niche format for these small titles.

Addicted to shiny round discs with HD content

Well it's by the director/co-writer of Wet Hot American Summer, which was a brilliant (and stupid) movie... So I'll give this one a chance. As a rental first, mind you, but I'll still give it a chance.

I watched an hour of it last night and fell asleep so thats not saying much for the movie. The PQ was very good at its best but the green screen effects looked pretty bad. I'll give it a fair shot on saturday morning when I can stay awake through it though.
I was very surprised at the cast that they assembled for this movie, I dont mean just the obvious ones but all of the people from Reno 911 among others.

It's MPEG2. I enjoyed it though. The animated stuff is quite good, and the only thing I didn't like was that get naked on sunday thing near the end, featuring just males. That was a bit creepy. There's no nudity in the movie, other than a couple of guys buttocal areas. There's quite a bit of bonus material too.

I thought the worst thing was the SD previews upon loading the disc. Yeah you can skip them, that's one thing that irks me on my Blu-rays is having to skip through previews but this was even worse as they are all SD. Oh and yeah that last skit was really akward.

Watched the SD version, and loved it. Some of the segments were kinda lame, but a good majority of them were hilarious (The guy in the ground, "It was a Goof!", male nudity on Sunday, etc..). Just ordered from Amazon.com, can't wait to receive it and watch it in HD, since the SD looked quite good upconverted.

I'd have given this movie a PG-13 rating. They may have requested an R to get better sales.

I just picked this up, but I can't get this movie to work in my Xbox 360 HD DVD player. Dashboard version is 2.0.8955.0. HD DVD player version is2.0.5127.0.

I thought it was a bad disc so I got another copy from the seller, but the second one didn't work either. Both were sealed and had the sticker at the top of the case.

I tried clearing all HD DVD memory content from the Xbox dashboard, too. It didn't help.

Has anyone gotten this title to play on the Xbox? Have they gotten it to work on the Xbox recently?

My next step is to try it on the A35 but it's at another location. My experience has been that the Xbox has better luck playing HD DVD movies than my standalone players--but this may be the exception.

UPDATE: I tried it on an A35 with firmware 4.0 and it didn't work either.
