I think he may have seen some Warner Combo HD DVDs that were moved down from 39.99$ MSRP to 30.98$ MSRP like Superman Returns Combo and Lake House Combo. I know both of those for non-Combo (well... Lake House you get the combo anyway) are on sale for ~50% off, but the MSRP listed for the non-reissues have been edited down. That has resulted in an Amazon price of 20.95$.

Some have not changed like The Fountain, but others like Ant Bully, Happy Feet, and Lady in the Water have as well.

I think this BOGO goes on until February 8, so you still have a chance.

Most of these sales only last a week. If I'm wrong about Feb. 8, then this sale should still be good until Saturday, Feb 2, and you can still try to get those movies from them online.

Weird

You know what? I have found that Amazon's gone up 1$ on many releases. The 28.99$ MSRP titles have gone up to 19.95$ and the 29.99$ MSRP titles have bumped to 20.95$.

BTW, this is for both HD DVD and BluRay on Amazon.

NOTE: JABM8 is no longer good from WHV. I was there yesterday & was going to buy Blade Runner & Pan's Labyrinth but didn't because the total was still under $50 and they wanted $7 and change for shipping. Went back today to find 1 more DVD to push it over $50 and the code no longer works. That was obviously a Jan. only coupon.

LA and OC locations as well

HD-DVD: 115 Blu: 6
Latest HD-DVD: All of them at Frys for under $10.

Latest BD: No incentive to pick up discs now that the format war is over. Netflix via xbox and mail is more that sufficient.

Lol, did anyone take a look at this?

"Amazon.com appears to be in clearance mode on HD-DVD, offering up to 53% off select titles."

Maybe someone should tell him the same promotion has been going on for BR discs? Such an ignorant thing to say...

I sent the author an email yesterday advising him that Amazon has been running the same promotion regarding Blu-rays. He has not replied back. Why allow facts to get in the way of an article?

Plus, there is NO Future Shop deal in Canada offering 2 HD DVD's for $25. I am amazed and dissapointed at how this "article" can be so erroneous and still posted...

It may be a good deal in your location, but, for those of us in the States, the prices seem really exorbitant, given the current rate of exhange, roughly 2 dollars to one pound. If there were three titles there that were only available on import, I might go for it, but The Prestige is the only one I noticed that isn't available here.

Ocean's 11 isn't available here either. We can only get the entire trilogy. I'd seriously consider getting in on this deal if there were just one more title that I was interested in. I was hoping for Underworld or T2 or something that wasn't available, but I didn't see anything.

I recently purchased 6 HD DVD titles for 59 GBP (117 USD) including shipping to Japan.
The list price includes VAT. After deducting VAT the price of per titles will get reduced by approximately 2 GBP.

The titles that I bought and the U.S price are listed below

Fearless- $27.95
Serenity - $14.95
Shaun of the Dead - $17.95
Chronicles of Riddick - $14.95
Pitch Black - $19.95
Inside Man - $19.95

Items Total : $115.70
Shipping cost to Japan : $23

Grand Total : $138.70 (So I ended up saving $21)

amazon.co.uk ships via AirMail which is usually 2-3 times quicker than USPS Surface Air Mail.

Blu-ray : 340

Yeah... in looking, I saw the Prestige and the Island that I wanted... but couldn't find a 3rd to be "free" to make it tempting. Very close, but not quite.

The 3:2 UK offer would be decent even with the exchange rate as long as you can find 3 movies. It would work out to about the same as domestic US regular releases, but if you bought ones that aren't possible to buy in the US then that makes it worthwhile.

I was hoping to try them out, because I'm a little leery on the other non-English speaking country imports because of the possibility of forced subtitles. I figure I couldn't go wrong with UK imports, so thought I'd try them first.

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

amazon.co.uk shipping charges are lower than amazon.com. That's why I never place a normal order with amazon. I always buy items on BOGOF or B2GOF sales and I have the patience to wait for such sales.

I went on Monday and several stores in my area were already sold out of Bourne Supremacy then, so I pretty much gave up since I already own most of the other movies. Was going to get Supremacy and Mummy (not for me but for my father actually).

Today I scored at gamestop. For $31, I picked up, Sunshine, Letter to Iwo Jima, Friday night lights, and Miami Vice.
Sunshine was much better than I was expecting. Too bad there are so Few gamestops that carry HD used.
