Actually, this happens quite often but is dependent on their supply chain & if they actually possess it at the lowest price. Otherwise they will send you to 1 of their 3rd party vendors. The BEST way to see price drops is to add the item in your cart & save it. Then every time you check it, any price change will be highlighted in yellow @ the top of the page.

I check literally every hour! haha Good Luck.

or, you can just use priceprotectr.com

I am still trying to figure out if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

I told myself I would buy less when the 10% ran out. Seems as though now I got my Amazon CC I spend $50 to get the $5 off. SO at this point I actually don't know.

Amazon is taking all my money.

Before you flame Amazon for something, you need to at least figure out how the website works.

Just go to the product page and click on where it says USED & NEW from what-ever price. It will then list all the merchants selling the product from cheapest to most expensive.

I have been using Amazon for years. I have bought books, DVDs, HD DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and even a $450 Seiko watch. If I have ever had a problem, not very often, they have been stellar. Often exchanging a problematic disc or a wrong book order with a replacement within a day or two.

I have no qualms about ordering from Amazon. In my experience they are the best.

Walla - 1 day later it is credited back on your account.

I prefer to talk with them over the phone...

At the top of the page, next to the cart, click 'Help'... on the right side, there is a 'Customer Service' button, and then a tabbed selection comes up. The 'Phone' option has you input YOUR phone number, and Amazon calls you.

The 'add it to your cart and save it' idea is the ONLY way to effectively track your items... I bought the A35 from Amazon on the 23rd of January... and have received almost $30 back as the price drops like a stone...

No problems for me ordering from TowerRecords in the past. I've had some of those dvds in my cart for quite a while now. Just have to decide which ones to buy right now. Decisions decisions...

Until yesterday the promo discount automatically applied, even to the special sale items.
Just wondering if there is something wrong with my Firefox browser or if they have ended it.
The prices without this additional discount are still excellent but I have been spoiled by the wonderful prices I have been paying.

Email them tell them they forgot your PROMO DISCOUNT. I had to do that on a disc I ordered last week I thought it might be over. But ordered another disc this week and it was applied. So I emailed them about last weeks order and received email back apologizing for not applying PROMO.

They should. I bought a DVP5982 from them a couple months ago for someone, and even though it said "Not Available for in-store pick-up" or whatever, they still price-matched it without any questions.

I think it's already known, but don't use the in-store kiosks to check their prices since that's not their real website. It's being brought up in courts now so hopefully someone gets on their back for it.

Just an FYI....if any of you have a Hastings Records near you then you may be able to get some deals. Mine has quite a decent selection of new/used HD-DVD's and even their new releases are $29.99 (vs $35 or so at BB/CC) Since they also take used trade-ins I've seen titles that I haven't seen at the big box stores.....and used ranges from $14.99 to $19.99 and they are guaranteed (by Hastings) to be good.

The B&N deal is too good to pass up. 2 14.99 films w/discount hits the 25 dollar mark. Thanks for the info.

HD-DVD: 115 Blu: 6
Latest HD-DVD: All of them at Frys for under $10.

Latest BD: No incentive to pick up discs now that the format war is over. Netflix via xbox and mail is more that sufficient.

Too bad the discount COSTS $25!! ...and then there's tax too. These are the same titles that were $10 at Amazon a month ago.

Is the first post still being updated anymore?

My stuff is old, but it still works well. Apparently AVS finds it to old to keep in their database but I'm still happy with it.

I think they have a few more titles though.

The deepdiscount prices look pretty good. Tons of titles for $15 with no tax and free shipping.
