Click on the tabs near the top of the page. There are 46 titles in Action and Adventure, 37 in Drama and Family, 15 in suspense and Horror, and 34 in comedy and other. Looks like mostly WB titles, with a few others mixed in.

Probably not much can be done. If you call and get a VERY FRIENDLY CSR, they may let you add to that order and work out a freebie for you, but VERY DOUBTFUL. What you are more than likely going to have to do, is return the previous order and re-buy.

Wow! this new Amazon sale is awesome. The buy 3 get two are from the new lowered prices that are already half off. This is just about equel to a true bogo, since if you buy 3 $15 titles for $30 delivered that is $10 per title.

Thanks for asking this. I'm thinking about getting the Amazon Credit card. you as a current card holder, do you occasionally get coupon (coupon codes) for purchases every now and then? or any additional kinds of savings?

I wouldn't know, I just signed up about a month ago. Haven't seen any yet.

yes, DVDSAVE5 is dead.

i've been an Amazon Visa holder since last fall and the DVDSAVE5 coupon is the first exclusive coupon i've received in that time (that i'm aware of, anyway) so there are occasional deals like that. the nice thing is that the coupon could be used on multiple orders, so i ended up saving $15 with it. in addition, you earn amazon gift cards with every dollar spent on your Amazon Visa. all in all, if you order from amazon a lot, it's well worth it.

I can understand why, but there could be a slim chance ( in my dreams, but I do dream ) that if HD DVD sales fly then they might reconsider. Yes, I know, but as I said, I can dream.

So buy WB on HD DVD but don't buy any on Blu Ray. At least that's my plan.

Well, I went thru the whole bloody Amazon list and could NOT get the discount they'd indicated i.e. 3 discs for the price of 2 or buy 2 get a 3rd for free. The way I figured, if I selected 12, 4 of the 12 should be free i.e. 4x14.95=$59.80 off. But when I started with 12 they only showed a $44.85 discount.

Then I pared my list back to, lessee here 2+1 and 2+1 and 2+1 is a list of 9 discs, and instead of getting 3 for free i.e. $44.85 they showed $29.90 off.

Has anyone had better luck (or better math) than me?

Make sure in the checkout process that if you want free shipping, you have to change it to free shipping, or otherwise you will get charged for it. That may be your problem Laserfan.

Nope, I'm a Prime member--zero shipping. And the discount is clearly shown: "Promotional Discount". Anyone else?

I think it always combines discounts to their advantage. You need to place your $14.99 discs together and your $19.99 discs together etc. If you have a mix it will pair one expensive disc with one inexpensive one and minimize your discount.

I've had an Amazon VISA for several years, and this just-expired coupon code DVDSAVE5 was the first of its kind I ever received (the ad came with my bill).

I miss the code.

I got Eastern Promises for ~$15 last month. Best Buy was having their BOGO and I got EP and Heartbreak Kid for $29.99 and Free.

You might just have to wait until that deal swings around again. The one I couldn't find that day was The Kingdom, so that's the one I'm waiting for.

So the Amazon deal defintely tricked me when I first viewed it before. I went back after reading these posts and grabbed some titles after discovering the genre layout (pretty funky if you ask me.) Due to recent developments and the feeling of doom for HD DVD, I've had a set of titles in my mind I've been waiting on until the price was right. TA DAAA $10 is good enough.

I'm getting the feeling eventually I'll have to go blu at some point, but it sure is nice grabbing some flicks for cheap on HDDVD before that transition.

So I guess Sony has not offered Amazon enough "moolah" to stop carrying HD-DVD.
Good thing since I picked up 3 more HD-DVDs.

Yes, but it still doesn't explain the problem I had--just to warn others don't assume Amazon is getting the math right!

I did instead place a couple orders for 3 discs apiece; a PIA but at least the discounts came-out right (and as you said dcrum thru proper combinations you get the best discount that way anyhow).

I'm assuming you're taking into account that the movies they're offering have a range of different prices, as well as the fact that they deduct the price of the lowest-priced movies first. What movies are you selecting? Maybe others of us can double-check the math for you.

Same thing happened to me. I gave them King Kong first followed by Shooter. Total was for $29.99+tax. I went to customer service to get them to price match [their own web price] Shooter to $24.99. Not as good as 19.99+tax for both.

Pioneer broke my heart.
