search this on ebay "5 X AMARAY SWING TRAY 14mm HD DVD CASE BLU-RAY CD PS3"

They come out to $5 per case shipped. I might order some and sell the 3 extra at $5 each on the forum.

I've made a lot of homemade HD-DVDs (burned on regular DVD-Rs) that span 2 or sometimes even 3 discs.

The replacement cases from DVDInternational have a center hub that can easily accomodate 2 discs, even three if you rest the third on top of the other two and then close the case...the disc doesn't move at all.

Also, I've put the third disc in a paper holder and tucked that under the clips where the booklet/paperwork normally go.

So, basically, you can get away with single disc cases...

I'm not sure why finding replacement cases is such a mystery for everyone. I just went on google and searched "replacement hd-dvd cases" and got plenty of hits...eBay, etc...in fact, the first hit is DVDInternational where I buy mine from...expensive...but they have the hub that accomodates multiple discs easily.

what hub?....and where do you get the insert?

I'm to the point where I'd put my Reds in a Blu case if they even had 2-disc cases......

The hub is the little thing inside the case that the disc snaps onto...the cases from DVDInternational are the kind with a certain type of hub that can handle more than one disc...you just push firmly and it will stay on. These are the same kind of cases that do NOT have the little flap/door that keeps the case closed.

I'm not sure what you mean by insert, but if you're talking about where I put the 3rd disc, I take a paper CD holder (I have a pile of leftovers from somewhere...I can't remember where) and cut it to just hold the disc, but still fit inside the inner door of the case.

Here's a photo (there's 2 discs on the center hub):

If you read the thread at all, we are looking for a TWO DISC case thats holds one disc on each side, not stacking them on each other. Of course your method works, but thats not what I want or some other members want.

Instead of buying an empty case for $2 how about buying buying the 2-disc collectors edition HD DVD titles at the same rate say around May or June and use them as replacement cases.

Blu-ray : 340

I more or less did what the poster with the pic did, but I didnot cut my sleeve to fit. I inserted it just fine and case closed. I did this for all the 2 disc films I have that I got from HWV.

These things looks pretty cool.....I may have to try them!!!

Edit:

Ok, after closer review, with the link above, you have to purchase at least $50 worth of product from that site....that's at least 400 hubs!!!!
I did a google search for "clear cd hub" and found a few sites that you can order them reasonable from. You can also find white and black ones too. I'd like clear that way I can put them in a Red or Blu case and should look clean and neat.

Here are the links:

Ummm...excuse me, but I've read every post of this thread. I was responding to other people who asked about single disc cases, and I simply mentioned that you can put more than one disc in them...

Yeesh...

Chris

Walmart sells the mounting hubs by their blank dvd's and cds. They are by memorex, and you get 5 for 2.47 or something. I just bought some even though I ebayed and got 25 for $7, I needed to see if the box would close, and it does. Go by walmart!

does anyone know, are single and double hd dvd cases the same size? If so, ordering 25 mounting hubs for 6.99 would make more sense, as it turnes any single hd dvd case into a double hd dvd case..

uanashformat is the seller, but I don't need 10 2-disk cases, I need probably 4 or 5 to be safe, but just 1 would be fine. These firesales at Hollywood Video are killing me with their standard size cases. I need one for beowulf, anyone willing to part out 4 or 5 of them? I emailed uanashformat and they said they will have some next week sometime.
