I have a PS Audio Lambda Two transport and a SL3 processor. Both of these items were purchased used and I could not afford to buy new then or now. I could hear a difference between anything played through this combination and either of my other 2 CD players.

The transport seems to have developed a new problem- the tray will not open. Something to look into. Any ideas? Not ready to give up yet.

As technology marches forward, do outboard DA converters become outdated?

My Marantz CDR630 sure seems to be "smoother" when played through the SL3.

The OPPO BDP-95 is receiving some pretty rave reviews. Would it have anything to offer (audio side only) over what the PS Audio gear has?

I am open to suggestions for a shop that could properly repair the transport.

Before I did anything else, I would certainly get on the phone to PS Audio and ask them if they can repair your unit, or if they have any suggestions.

The Marantz CD-5004 player has coaxial and optical digital outputs and would provide you with a good transport.
