I just picked up a NAD 565 "refurb" for half your budget. I is better than my outboard DAC.
I HATE BD players. Stupid JAVA engine that has to boot. I want power up, put in a disk and push play.
I have space limits, so a lot of decks like Cambridge, Marantz etc would not fit my shelf. I even had to put my Denon DVD/ASCD player away
because it won't fit. May toss it on auction.

first person I've met who's mentioned the annoying delay in boot time for BD players. That drives me nuts. I was used to old DVD players and CD players where it's ready to go the instant you press the power button. That boot time really does suck.

How do you like the NAD 565 compared to the Denon player that you own?
