There is a big difference between the adapter you use and the playGo AP1 and that is the lossless capability of the playGo AP1. Unlike Bluetooth receivers the playGo AP1 has AirPlay and DLNA support to stream audio from your iPhone through Wi-Fi or Ethernet - this results in better sound quality. Bluetooth transmitted audio is compressed due to limited bandwidth, this not an issue if you send through AirPlay or stream lossless files through DLNA.
The playGo AP1 also has both a high quality digital to analog converter in there as well as a digital audio out so you have lots of flexibility with connectivity.
The playGo AP1 supports IR and Control4 systems through a driver and has a USB port to connect any i-Device to grab digital audio in case you don't want to stream through the network.
It's a true high fidelity network DAC and I'm supporting it 100%!
Hope that helps!
