I see that Teac CD-P650 has as DAC the PCM1791 (100dB THD) and Onkyo C-7030 has WM8718 (100dB THD), both Delta-Sigma, and both relay on internal OS filters...
I would say that probably they would sound very similar. Sure, the WM added "32 bit capability" in their chip, but that does nothing for you, especially when their THD performance is less than 17 bit.
Probably there are older CD players out there that can do better in that respect, having real multibit DAC's on-board. For example ONKYO DX-1400 that can be found fairly cheap on eBay has PCM61 DAC with YM3433 as OS filter - that combo (18 bit) might sound better with CD's than many bluray players on market today.
OK, none will have USB input, so you would have to use discs. That might be better that using jittery USB connection anyway.
