Can you use two different audio outs from a BD player to an AVR, so you can hook them up to two different inputs on the AVR?
For instance, using an HDMI cable to watch a Blu ray movie going into the 'Blu Ray' input on AVR, then say a coaxial audio out from the player into another input on the AVR, just to differentiate between playing a CD and a Blu Ray, or would it not be necessary as you would just keep the selector on the AVR set to HDMI and play both types of discs through the same connection?

Cheers
