Can anybody recommend a good CD/cassette combo player to add to my system? Looking to spend under $200. And that's the super maximum (for now). Less expensive is ideal, but don't want something that will die or eat tapes within a few years.

Yamaha RX-V1065 receiver
Bowers & Wilkins 685 front speakers
SVS SB-1000 subwoofer
Marantz PMD350U CD/cassette player
Sony BDP-N460 Blu Ray player
Sony Bravia KDL-40V5100 flat screen TV
Wii game console
Roku 2XD internet streaming box

You will need to buy used with that budget. Check out the link below. Tascam makes some nice stuff.

I have the Marantz PMD 350, I love it but don't hardly use it as much as I used to. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=245-765 Currently there's one up on ebay that's in your price range.

I see the Marantz was expensive in its day. What's a fair used price these days for it? Does it have a remote? I assume it's able to be hooked up to a Yamaha receiver? Looks like these are used for professional musicians...

I have a lot of bootlegs that I haven't heard in years. Will be nice to hear them again from time to time. I figure $68 isn't bad for not using it too often.

Dimetheos, or anyone who has the Marantz. Just got it today. Do you have rack system or is it just set up loosely? I'm wondering if I can remove the rack mount on it. Looking at it, it looks like the front panel is all one piece. If I set it up as is, it will be tilted a bit. Is that a problem? I plan to put my BD player on top of it.

Again, does anyone have an answer for my last question? Also, where on the receiver should this be hooked up to?

Hi. I have a Marantz PMD350 CD/cassette combo. The CD and tape player both seem to work, but the sound I get is terrible. Very distorted and unclear, like it's damaging my speakers. It is hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V1065 receiver, via red/white cable from "Tape+CD" on back of player to "Phono" on back of receiver. Please help. Thanks.

Thought I'd post here since the Marantz "ask a tech" isn't working for me.
