I found a Music Hall CD32 player at a Thrift store for like 3 dollars, and knowing that Music Hall Turntables are great I picked it up. It seems to work very well and sounds excellent, but I just wanted to know some of the history behind this player, because I can't find any info on this player online!

Thanks a lot

I don't know anything about the particular CD player. The owner of Music Hall is a Scotsman who specializes in importing British hi fi gear. I can take a wild guess that his electronics are made by Creek Audio since he is the U.S. importer for Creek. If that is true, it should be a fine product because the Creek stuff is very good. Just look at the unit and see where it was made. If it says UK, then it would most likely be a Creek product. Understand that I'm providing pure guesswork, not solid information.

Unfortunately no, it says made in China, which surprises me. A sticker on the back says EP95056-0021.

This link is one of the only things that I have found about this unit. http://www.stereotimes.com/speak101100.shtml

The digital front end is a Music Hall CD32

You might want to checkout this website, but I'm not certain Music Hall made a CD 32.

http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/musichall_cd252.htm

If memory serves, the same company makes some very hi end audio under a different name. It's designed here and built in China. It should be a very nice mid priced cd player and a real steal for $3.

Enjoy!

As far as I know, it is an older unit (early 90s, maybe older?). Thanks for all of your help.

Here is a picture of the unit!  (By the way, in answer to my need for a new record player (another post) thats better than those cheap ones you see (Ion, Crosley etc) I did get a refurb Technics, Love it)

Thanks a lot!
