Hi, I just joined in the hope that yamaha MCX-1000's are still being looked after here by forum members.

Mine has taken a dive and the output both RCA and headphones is muffled and distorted especially when its bassy or busy.

I have seen discussions in the past about repairs to the audio output stage that seem to be quite common and failing with age

Thanks

Bumping this one along to hopefully find other users of this fine CD ripper/server

I have all the service manuals and software on CD's for updating, changing hard drives etc

I am sure that this problem with analog output has been reported before so I would rather take advice before diving in

Thanks guygasgas

Did you figure out this problem? I have a few ripped CDs on mine that have poor quality, but the rest are perfect. I've never seen a thread with repair or failure information, just upgrading and general use.
