All CD players are digital. If you use a digital output it will stream the data to whatever you connect. If you use an analog output it wall send decoded analog waveforms to whatever you connect.

My Teac has only one out put and when it is connected to my Yamaha RX-V375 the display shows analog. Why wouldn't it show digital ? Perhaps I have it plugged into the wrong in put on the Yamaha ?

If it plays, you're not sending it to the wrong input. The reason your receiver says analog is because the CD player has converted the digital to analog and is sending an analog signal to the receiver.

Some CD players also have a digital output. Using that, it would be the receiver that does the converting.

If you can't explain how it works, you can't say it doesn't.—The High-End Creed
