Not sure if I can post this here, as I'm new on the board. I have a question. I bought a Sony 333ES 300 disc Mega Changer (holds 300 cd's) to replace a mega 200 I currently own.
I've used Sony 300 megas before. I buy my "new" 333ES off of Craigslist. Of course the guy says it's perfect. It looks great. Had the remote and maunal and it does play fine.
Problem is the tray moves about half as fast as it should when compaired to other Sony Megas. My questions is since this is an "ES" model, do you know if the tray would spin slower by design? I know ES models are suppose to have better sound quality. This mega does not. Also it takes forever to cycle through all the discs, but it transfers from disc to disc fine.
Any idea what to check on this thing? I'm wondering if the tray motor is tired. If so can it be changed?
