Is my turntable worth fixing?

I have a pair of Bang and Olufsen RX2 turntables sitting around (one for parts) with no cartridges. As close as I can figure, a cartridge is going to cost me.

I'm no audiophile and I was hoping someone could give me a bit of advice. I only very rarely listen to records but I've had an itch lately and can't. Does it make more sense to pay $300 for the cartridge I need, or just go spend $100 on a new, entry level turntable? Or do I need to spend a bit more? If it comes down to, say, $200 for a decent turntable, I'd spend the extra $100 and get my cartridge. But for the moment I don't have a clue.

Check out U-turn audio. Brand new TT made in the USA fully set up w/cart for $179. Very nice low cost option.

There are no new tables under $200 that I would recommend. The old B&Os were nice units. I'd keep them and get the cartridge.
