I'm looking for a decent multidisc cd player just for convenience. I'm not interested in great DACs or anything because im probably going to use the SPDIF out. Reliability and build quality is what im more interested in. I'd love to hear your guys' suggestions but i would like to keep the msrp of the players under $300.

Onkyo makes one for sure (good build quality and good DACs, even if you're not looking for that necessarily). Marantz also makes one, though I'm not sure about the price. Yamaha used to make some decent ones (don't know if they still do--haven't checked them out in a while).

I second the Onkyo. I have been using mine for about 3 years now with zero problems.

I tried one once. It flat out refused to play several lightly scratched discs that my Onkyo never had any issues with. (SQ was good when it did work, though.) I returned it for a refund.
