Long Beach, Calif. - Kenwood shipped its $1,600-suggested flagship A/V-navigation system with such features as Ford Sync compatibility, HD Radio, and improved navigation of songs stored on a USB-connected Android phone.

Kenwood's $1,600-suggested DNX9990HD multimedia-navigation system is among five Kenwood nav systems designed for low-cost integration with Ford Sync systems to retain voice control over Sync features.

The Excelon-series DNX9990HD also controls Pandora apps on connected smartphones and features stereo Bluetooth and Garmin navigation.

This was the box I was holding out for two years ago. Glad to see it finally came along. Need to start saving my pennies. Though I might not want to put it in a 10-year-old truck...
