Got to spend a couple days driving Northeast Oklahoma in a Subaru with the factory-installed Harman-Kardon HD Radio. Was very impressed. Only one Tulsa AM (1170-KFAQ) was in HD. Granted, it's a 50K blowtorch, but the HD held under power lines and bridges almost all the way to Miami (OK, of course). Same with the few FMs in Tulsa that do HD. Subchannels didn't start dropping until I hit Vinita. I was very impressed with KWGS-HD3. Figured I'd lose it fairly quickly, but it held up all the way to Big Cabin. By then, even the analog was picket-fencing.
