I've got horrible spending habits, but its something to keep me busy. I plan on testing and evaluating what I have, then down the road I'll sell what I don't keep or give it to friends and relatives.

I listened to the Aura in my test enclosure last week for a little while. It sounded really good and reminded me of my 12" Rythmik for SQ.

I had the JBL in my living room a few months ago. It was in a sealed enclosure that was a little too small but it still performed well. It had really good impact on certain scenes like the sonic gun/car factory part in Minority Report or the cannons in Master and Commander.

The LMS is a prototype and it's a lot different from the actual production LMS. According to my woofer tester, It has a relatively weak motor and high inductance. I have no doubt it can pound the really low stuff but I'll probably run an MBM with it. I'm just guessing though since I haven't really used this driver yet.

I watched Minority Report last night. Great effects with those sonic guns.Gave the subs a workout.

That's really high praise - for the Rythmik. I had no idea they were that good.

I've also found the W15GTi to perform well in smaller-than-"optimal" enclosures, with appropriate EQ. Mine (anchoring my nearfield system) is currently in 4.5 cubes, give or take, because that's what I happened to build before doing listening testing. I don't know if it's because of the split-opposed-coil motor or the well-executed heat management. Pity the thing doesn't have a plain dustcap. That's actually the main reason I've considered replacing mine with an NS15...

So replace the dust cap? You know you can do it!

Yeah Im not a fan of the bling-bling dust cap either. The older GTi's looked so much better. I've been thinking of ordering a dust cap from PE. I'm not sure if I should just buy the bigger dust cap and glue it over the existing one? Whats would be the best way to remove the existing one? I'd probably start roundhousing random people if I screwed up the cone.

I had to order the 6" dustcaps from speakerworks. I'm happy so far, I need to let the glue dry then test it.

i can't keep up with MOST of these drivers. but i will place my new CSS SD12 into the database. as there seems to be little/no pics of them.

also. the cone is black. but the kevlar throws off a sheen, to make it look grayish, in different lighting.

I used to think that maybe I was going to end up having too many speakers, even if they were crapped out ones...

Now it seems that maybe I don't have enough...

I don't have any photos for you - yet.
