Hi all,

I currently have 5 Bose 191 in-ceiling speakers which I use as a home theater system. Trouble is that I will be moving to a rental soon and can't install the speakers in the ceiling b/c the landlord doesn't want me cutting up the walls. I wanted to build a ported enclosure for each of them. Has anybody ever done this before and will this work? Any help with dimensions or designs?
I have built my own car subwoofer cabinet before but this is a first for normal speakers. Please any help would be appreciated.

1. get a new landlord

Since the 191's already have an enclosure your main concerns are mostly in the cosmetic category.

I would build something that was as thin as possible that could be hung on the wall

Perhaps a faux frameless painting look on grillecloth to stealth them out a bit

Regards,
Dan
