Connecting it from the Sub Out on a Pioneer Elite SC-65, and to an iNuke NU3000.
Anybody?

So i got bored. My plate amps crapped the bed, so i had no bass. I brought out the old MiniDSP, and wired up my 2X4 for a twoway. I used a simple 80hz XO. Subs are 24db, mains are 12db...

Ran some sweeps, pulled down a bump with one PEQ and was done...

This is the weird part, when switching between input one and input two, the sound changed dramatically. I played PinkFloyd Wish You Were Hear and only one channel was running, when i switched to input two it seemed to right its self...

What do you think this is....

I think that is strange....But have nothing else for you there. I also have a question, is there a way to switch the polarity in the open DRC software? Well, either that, or adjust phase 180 degrees?

Cant you add or subtract one wavelength of delay at the target frequency?

Honestly, I haven't. The x8 has better specs, but I've never heard anything from the 2x4 balanced that made me question its transparency. (Have a 2x4 unbalanced, a couple 2x4 balanced, and an 8x8 on hand.)

I would be doing the full passband of the sub out of phase to get the crossover region right with regards to proper time alignment. I guess I could go one full wavelength out at the filter's freq and see what that does, but I know on my DCX i could simply flip polarity, so hoped the mini would do the same...

so I just tried to use 4 subs for the first time off my minidsp 4-way advanced crossover. I was under the impression that input 1 played to outputs 1 and 3, and input 2 played to outputs 2 and 4. But it appears each input plays to all 4 outputs. You have to select the output.

I wanted to have two "zones" where input 1 played to 2 subs in one room, and input 2 plays to 2 subs in a different room. Is there a way to do this with the 4-way advanced or does the 2-way stereo one do that?

^ Yep, the 4-way is for one speaker, the 2-way is for two speakers and will do what you want (Input 1 to Outputs 1 & 2, Input 2 to Outputs 3 & 4).
I use a 2.1 that differs in its output numbering (Input 1 to Outputs 1 & 3 and Input 2 to Outputs 2 & 4. It can also sum Outputs 1 & 2), but it would also do what you want.

Two would seem to be two too many to me too.

ya it has basically no draw, 150 mA (the 2x4 unbalanced). other ones are 12V and need a separate power supply though

Hi Mfusick,

I have mine connected to an iPhone charger and works well. The unit requires a minimum of 150mA@5VDC.
