Marty, you should check out the recent thread about AE getting away from DIY. Maybe you could post measurements here and we could help you with a XO instead of John. You know, give him some time back I know Matt has used both the SEOS 15 and AE 15, albeit at different times. Besides, with several different insights you might get a better result.
In a separate thread on how to make speaker grilles I asked were there any issues with sound PQ if I made a grille that went around the waveguide, ie, would there be some diffraction issues that were "listenable".
Since this is the main thread on DIY waveguides possible I should have asked here, re-post below:

Mtb, I've got some grills on my speakers that are along the base of the waveguide. I plan to do some serious comparison listening with the grill on and off. But haven't yet. Also will test with them on and off. So it you're patient I can help eventually.
