Quick Update:

I got a notice today saying the shipping container should be dropped off at my shop tomorrow.

That means the new SEOS-10, 12, and 15 should be in stock shortly along with the new SEOS-8. Parts for the compression drivers will also be arriving as well.

It's possible cabinet diffraction is aiding your directivity, though that's not actually a good thing.
Thanks for your thoughts. I've modelled the cabinet impact on the woofer and there is a hump centred on 700Hz (extending to ~400-1100Hz) of a few dB that is present out past +/- 30 degrees. Is this effect what you are referring to regarding cabinet diffraction?

One other question, and just to be sure I understand what you mean, when you say "I don't see a problem with 1200Hz" does that imply that's your lower limit for a SEOS-10?

Yes. For the waveguide it might shift up in frequency due to the proximity to the top edge of the cab.

Not necessarily. Possibly lower.

Can you treat the cabinet with something like felt and mitigate the impact on measurements?

I guess theoretically it only makes sense if you would also leave it and listen that way- there is no point in doctor up a measurement and then use a speaker in a different way.

That low of frequency, not really.

Going to need a huge roundover or facet.

The shipping container arrived today. I should have hosted a CU-GTG (Container Unloading Get Together)!

I was only able to unload about 20% this evening but should be able to knock out the rest tomorrow.

One thing I forgot that I ordered was white SEOS-8's for the dome tweeters. They turned out really nice.

Here are photos of the new SEOS-8 that fits many dome tweeters.

The white looks better than I thought it would.

Here's the gloss, matte, and white:

Looking at ordering some 150's but know those arent happening. SO do you have any other's that will work. DNA200 perhaps?

I received a lot of the 150's late last week to put back up on the site. More SEOS-15's and SEOS-10's as well. I'm still unpacking things and counting them up, but they will be back up on the site this week.

Kits, not that I'm aware of. @RickC raig may have something though.

I have a pair of Accuton mids that I've been saving for something special though...

What do you plan on doing with them? Which models do you have? Accuton makes some of the best mid range drivers that I have ever heard at any price point! One day I would like to pick up a pair of Accuton C90's and pair them to a nice tweeter and woofer for the ultimate music setup. Only thing is that they are ubber expensive!

Sweet, I'll be checking the site. I still need four the 150s to complete some future atmos surrounds.

Man SEOS-150's in a surround would be epic! . With your wicked mains you are building you will need firepower in the surrounds.

Gotta love autocorrect.

This weekend and next week are going to be big weeks for the 899 thing and for the big JBL design of kingpins. I think I'll have both pretty much complete. Design wise, there's not much to share / show while I listen and measure the odd thing.
